Commodore offers Studios, 1 Bedroom Poolside, 1 Bedroom Gulf Front, and 2 Bedroom Poolside

What are the occupancy limits of each room type?

  • Studios sleep 2 (1 king bed)
  • 1 Bedroom Poolside sleeps 4 (1 king bed, queen pullout couch)
  • 1 Bedroom Gulf Front sleeps 6 (1 king bed, queen Murphy bed, queen pullout couch)
  • 2 Bedroom Poolside sleeps 6 (types of beds vary per room)

How do guests check availability?

What time is check in and out?

  • Check-in is 3pm
  • Check-out is 10am

Is there parking?

  • Parking is assigned one car per unit. Vehicles must be registered at check-in.
  • Second vehicles are not permitted, nor are there extra spaces for second vehicles. 
  • There are 7 visitor parking spaces that are for visitors only, with a maximum of 48 hours per visitor. All visitors must check in at the office for a valid visitor parking pass.

Are there laundry services?

There are laundry rooms on the first floor of the pool building and the 5th floor of the tower from 9am to 9pm daily.

Is there onsite security?

Yes there is a security guard onsite daily after the office closes.

Is Commodore Beach Club a family resort?

Yes, the resort is family-friendly, offering a welcoming atmosphere and a variety of activities and amenities that guests of all ages can enjoy.

Are there cabana/chair rentals?

Are pets allowed?

No pets are allowed. Required service animals are exempt, provided the proper paperwork is submitted 30 days prior to being onsite. More info.

What is included in each kitchen?

  • Each kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave.
  • There are pans, pots, cookie sheets, Pyrex dishes, utensils, plateware, blenders, coffee makers, a toaster, mixing bowls, and cups

What is provided in the rooms upon check in?

Paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pods, trash bags, vacuum, broom/dustpan, hand soap bars, and a mop with cleaning spray.

Do units have balconies?

  • The 1 Bedroom Gulf Front units all have large private balconies
  • 201, 1 Bedroom poolside with a small private balcony
  • 101, 1 Bedroom poolside with a small patio

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available on the property.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, the pool is heated.

Is there a jacuzzi?

Yes, there is a Jacuzzi.

Are there grills on-site?

Yes, there are 2 gas grills onsite that do NOT require lighter fluid

Is there a pier or dock for fishing?

  • There is no pier or dock to fish on our property
  • John’s Pass Boardwalk is a short walk away that has fishing excursions and areas to fish privately

Can guests bring boats, jet skis, trailers, campers, or motor homes?

No boats, jet skis, trailers, campers, or motor homes are permitted at any time on the property.

Yes, there is a direct beach access onsite with a shower and hose to clean off beach gear.

What airports are near Commodore Beach Club?

  • St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport – 10 miles
  • Tampa International Airport – 20 miles

Is there Uber/Lyft/Taxi or delivery services?

  • Yes, there is Uber/Lyft or other taxi services to shuttle to the airport
  • Yes, there are delivery service capabilities from Publix, Walmart and even packages

Is there a beach trolley?

  • Yes, there is a trolley called Suncoast Beach Trolley ran by the PSTA. The office can provide a sheet of the times and route of the trolley upon request.
  • There is an app called ‘Flamingo’ that makes it easy to get day passes or it is exact change to ride 
  • Any sign with a large yellow sun on the street is a Suncoast trolley stop
  • The trolley runs from Clearwater Beach to St. Pete Beach

Do guests need a rental car?

It is advised to have transportation. However, plenty of guests choose not to! Publix and Walmart deliver groceries, the Suncoast Trolley will take you up and down the Gulf beaches, there is a 7/11 convenience store across the street open 24 hours, and John’s Pass Boardwalk is a short walk away!

What kind of restaurants are nearby?

There are restaurants for everyone nearby breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a small emphasis on American and seafood.

Where can guests find coffee or breakfast nearby?

Coffee/Breakfast: Llama Java, Lisa’s Café, Sculley’s, Fruit Float Café, Corner Kitchen.

Where can guests go for good seafood?

Dockside Dave’s, The Boardwalk Grill, Crabbers and more!

What grocery stores and markets are nearby?

Publix, Walmart, Sprouts, The Fresh Market, and there are morning markets throughout the week as well.

Are there late-night convenience or pharmacy options nearby?

There is a 7/11 across the street open 24 hours.

Is there recommended churches nearby?

The recommended church is Church by the Sea, which is non-denominational, just a few blocks down the street.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Where is the nearest urgent care?

Baycare Urgent Care is located on 66th St in St Petersburg.

Where is the nearest hospital?

HCA Florida St Petersburg is located on 38th Ave St Petersburg.

Are there other medical doctors’ offices nearby?

Yes, there are pharmacies and emergency dental and eye care.

HURRICANE UPDATE INFORMATION

Is Commodore Beach Club open and accepting guests?

Yes, Commodore is open and accepting reservations.

What rooms have been renovated due to the hurricane damage?

  • The first floor of the pool building, with 8 partial renovations on the second and third floors
  • The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the tower building

Are the rest of the rooms being renovated that were not damaged from the hurricane?

Yes, the rest of the rooms that were not damaged by the hurricane will be renovated in the coming years and completed by 2028.

What construction still has to be done?

  • A gazebo above the grills
  • Maintenance and housekeeping storage rooms
  • Unit renovations

What improvements have been done?

There have been many improvements to the property. The exterior of both buildings and all common areas (including the pool area) have all been redone. The 21 units damaged by the Hurricanes are completely renovated, including all new furniture. 

Is there anything from the hurricane that is still affecting guest experience?

  • Most of the renovations to undamaged units will be done in the fall (August – December), visitor parking may be unavailable as this space will be used for construction purposes. Do not bring two cars unless you plan to park one car off-site.
  • Construction may create loud noises throughout the day (we have asked that noise be limited to 9:00am – 6:00pm).
BEACH ACCESS AND PROPERTY CONDITIONS

Is the beach access open?

Yes the beach access is a private entry and exit for Commodore guests only.

Are the beach conditions the same as before the storms?

The storms didn’t permanently destroy Madeira Beach, but they caused major flooding, erosion, property damage, and temporary closures. The community then went through an extensive cleanup and rebuilding period, with greater attention to protecting the beach, dunes, buildings, and infrastructure from future storms.

Will guests see ongoing repair or construction?

Yes, guests will see ongoing construction throughout the year as we continue to be granted permits to work until completion.

Are current property photos accurate?

Yes, the photos on the website are accurate and updated after the renovations.
